Fans have loved when Salman Khan has taken the mike and lent his voice to a song for a film. Just look at the numbers for ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ from Hero, which has reached over 13 million views on YouTube alone. However, the actor does not think a singing career is in his future. In fact, he does not think he is a good singer at all.
He revealed recently, “I can’t sing to save my life. If you ask me to sing the song right now, I will not be able to do that.”
The actor says once he gets in the studio and hears the music composers sing the line, only then can he mimic what they are doing and sing. “I need somebody to sing that line for me then I can sing it — that is the way I sing.”
He does say he really concentrates on getting the feel for the song. “The feeling is important and then the song is pretty okay.” Adding if he does miss a note or two that can be fixed at the mixing board in post-production.
Khan says he sings for fun, adding, “In films, we have playback singers. People know it is Sonu Nigam or Kumar Sanu, I just wanted to have my own voice there and that’s the reason why I decided to sing.”
We and the fans have to disagree Mr. Khan, we do think you can sing. Let us know what do you think?
