Sameera Reddy looked stunning in a bridal gown designed by Neeta Lulla at a fashion show to launch the high couture store Aza in Delhi on Friday. She was thrilled to be involved in the show. “This is Neeta Lulla’s extremely special collection,” she said, “What I love about it is that it’s got a bit of woollen in it. This is winter season and it is bitterly cold outside. I was almost freezing when I landed in Delhi today.”
Sameera is looking forward to her action-packed role in Ajith’s much-anticipated Asal, which also stars Bhavana and in which she did all her own stunts. The film’s due for release on Feb 12th and is guaranteed to blow your socks away. Ajith broke his characteristic silence to share his enthusiasm for the movie. “Normally I prefer to let the film speak for itself,” he explained, “Yet I have to tell you that every aspect including the stunts and chases in Asal exemplifies the title. Everything is original and genuine.”
Sameera is also deeply committed to her role as a Naxalite in the movie Red Alert. At first, she nearly turned down the de-glam role – but then she read the script! The director of the movie, Ananth, is full of praise for the outcome. “I felt this girl could be tapped into doing something more realistic,” he said, “And that’s exactly what happened. When she donned the uniform of the Naxalite, she immediately realized that she was on a very different wicket and not a run of the mill story.”
