When Sanjay Dutt gave his nod to play the villain Kancha Cheena in Karan Johar’s remake of his father’s Agneepath, he also agreed to go bald for this role. However, he asked for permission to use prosthetics as he’s shooting for some other films at the same time, including his home production Rascals, and he wanted to avoid continuity problems. Karan Johar agreed and hired Hollywood make-up artist Robin Slater, and the first schedule at a factory in Mumbai went without any difficulties, with Sanju shooting his scenes with Slater’s skillful prosthetics.

But then the unit shifted to Diu, and in the blazing heat up to 48 degrees Celsius Sanju re-thought his decision. The prosthetic make-up took three hours to apply and one and a half hours to remove, which meant Sanju had to wake up at 5 am to be ready for a 9.30 am shift. Moreover, it was unbearable in the heat and Sanju didn’t feel comfortable anymore, especially when the make-up began to melt away. “It started looking scary”, reported a unit hand. “The make-up started melting and dripping down Sanju’s face.”

Sanju confirmes, “I couldn’t have handled the make-up mess after a point. It was too tiring. Also, it was a strain on my eyes as prosthetic make-up is heavy.” So he consulted with his wife Maanayata and his manager Dharam Oberoi and hired Hollywood’s famous wigmaker Victoria Wood to make wigs for the other films waiting for him. She came to Diu to make the necessary measurements, and then Sanju nceremoniously shaved off his hair to become the perfect Agneepath baldie.

Looks like Hrithik Roshan gets a ubertough antagonist in Agneepath!
