Sanjay Gupta finds his Dawood for Shootout at Wadala – Sonu Sood!

The ensemble cast of Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming Shootout At Wadala is getting bigger and more exciting by the day. If having Anil Kapoor, John Abraham and Kangana Ranaut as part of the all star cast to the huge sequel wasn’t cool enough, we have two more names for you! Recently it was revealed that the brilliant actor Manoj Bajpai had been signed up to play the role of Sabir and now the director has finally fixed the casting for the important role of Ibrahim Dawood.

So who will take on the challenge of playing the role? None other then the fabulous Sonu Sood. Confirming the news, Sonu said, “I am extremely thrilled to be a part of this prestigious project. Sanjay Gupta is one of the best technicians we have in the industry. I’ve been extremely keen to work with him He presents his actors like no one else. . On the other hand, Ekta Kapoor is one of the most prolific producers. She leaves no stone unturned for her films.”

Dawood has always been an important character in Hindi films and a strong actor was needed to portray it. Sonu adds, “It’s an iconic role.”

Sanjay Gupta thinks Sonu will be perfect in the role, “It is the clash of the titans. Who better to play young Dawood than Sonu Sood? His body language and his physique work for the role perfectly. It is a very important character in the film. We show how Dawood forms his D company the very night his brother Shabbir dies. John plays Manya Surve. The clash of two of the best bodies in the industry should be interesting to watch.”

A sequel to Gupta’s excellent Shootout at Lokhandwala, Shootout at Wadala, which goes to the floor this week, is based on a real life story by Hussain Zaidi that deals with the rise of Dawood in the underworld and his rivalry with Many Surve played by John Abraham. Shootout At Wadala, a Balaji – White Feather Films co-production, is slated for a December 7 release.
