The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend & Awards proudly unveils its historic Silver Jubilee edition, a landmark celebration honouring 25 years of Indian cinema’s global legacy. Set to take place from March 8th to 9th, 2025, in the enchanting Pink City of Jaipur, Rajasthan, this milestone event promises an extraordinary fusion of cinematic artistry and cultural heritage.

The Silver Jubilee year of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) will kick off with an extraordinary celebration in Jaipur, this March. Set against the majestic backdrop of Rajasthan’s regal charm, the prestigious IIFA Weekend & Awards will seamlessly merge the timeless elegance of the Pink City with the glitz and glamour of Bollywood, setting the stage for an unforgettable series of festivities. Rajasthan, often referred to as the “Land of Kings,” is a treasure trove of rich cultural heritage, vibrant traditions, and historical significance. Its grand forts, opulent palaces, and timeless architecture echo the tales of its royal past, while its lively music, captivating dance forms and colourful festivals showcase the region’s deep artistic roots. From the intricate craftsmanship of Jaipur’s jewellery and textiles to the delectable flavours of its cuisine, Rajasthan’s culture is a harmonious blend of history, art, and celebration, making it the perfect host for a landmark event like IIFA.

Hosted by Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan, the weekend will of course feature performances by Bollywood luminaries including Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit to name just a few.

Shah Rukh Khan, the cinematic icon and a cherished star in IIFA’s remarkable 25-year journey, graced the Mumbai press conference. This year’s theme, “Silver is the New Gold,” beautifully symbolizes this transformation: silver reflecting tradition and achievement, and gold embodying brilliance and aspirations. Over the past 25 years, it has become a powerful symbol of unity, fostering cultural connections and championing cinematic brilliance through its visionary journey. From its inception in 2000, IIFA has evolved into a transformative global platform, taking Indian cinema beyond borders and captivating audiences worldwide. The 25th edition of IIFA promises a spectacular three-day celebration. A Legacy of 25 Years: IIFA Announces Its Milestone Edition in Rajasthan’s Cultural Capital, and is set to take place on 8th -9th March 2025, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The festivities begin on Saturday, March 8th, with Sobha Realty IIFA Digital Awards Co-Presented By NEXA as they make their debut, celebrating the innovative brilliance of OTT and digital entertainment and underscoring IIFA’s embrace of the industry’s evolving landscape. The grand finale unfolds on Sunday, March 9th, with the iconic NEXA Presents IIFA Awards Co-Presented by Sobha Realty, honouring cinematic excellence and celebrating Indian cinema’s profound impact on the global stage.

IIFA 2025 will unite the lights from Bollywood, South Indian cinema, and OTT platforms, alongside global dignitaries, fans, and cinema enthusiasts. With a dazzling mix of cultural festivities, star-studded appearances, and breath-taking performances, it will pay tribute to the vibrant legacy and transformative power of Indian cinema.

Joining the esteemed IIFA co-founders — Andre Timmins, Viraf Sarkari, and Sabbas Joseph — at the IIFA Mumbai press conference were prominent dignitaries and partners, alongside the star-studded line-up at the press conference which included Kartik Aaryan, eagerly gearing up for his debut as the host of the world’s grandest celebration of Indian cinema. Alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Kartik Aaryan was Nora Fatehi is set to dazzle audiences with her performance at IIFA’s landmark 25th edition in Jaipur.

Marking a historic milestone of 25 years of excellence in Indian cinema, the IIFA press conference unveiled that this year the IIFA I Can Make A difference campaign would focus on the IIFA Green Challenge, a powerful collaboration with Challenge for Green (CFG), mentored by Rajasthan’s Forest & Environment Ministry and supported by the Industry Ministry. This initiative, part of IIFA’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, aims to drive environmental stewardship through actions like tree planting, with a tree planted for every person attending IIFA as a guest, celebrity or ticket-buyer. The #IIFA25 Garden will honor and immortalize in nature, IIFA winners over the years, and the campaign will continue IIFA’s legacy of promoting environmental sustainability, water conservation, and women empowerment, furthering its message of collective action for a better future.
