Shah Rukh Khan, currently shooting My Name is Khan with Kajol in the US, has been asked to present the Best Drama Award at the Golden Globes Award Ceremony organised by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The Golden Globes are the second most prestigious set of awards in the US after the Oscars. A R Rahman will also be in attendance as he has been nominated for his musical score in Slumdog Millionaire. Amongst the US celebrities present are expected to be Drew Barrymore, Laurence Fishburne, Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz.

Meanwhile, the build-up has started for the second season of the IPL and SRK is looking for cheerleaders for his team, the Kolkata Knight Raiders. His Red Chillies production house will run a reality TV show called Knights and Angels which will choose six new cheerleaders for the squad.

A glimpse into the wealth of SRK suggests that he is now worth about 25 arawb (2500 crores) with Akshay Kumar, after a string of energetic commercial hits, now worth about 18 arawb.

Priyanka Chopra has been expressing her excitement at working on an item number with SRK for his house movie Billu Barber, which stars Irrfan Khan and Lara Dutta. “I’m his biggest fan,” she says, “There’s no way I’d say no to him for anything. All he had to do was to ask and I was on.”
