Bollywood’s leading man Shah Rukh Khan is known for going all out for his films and Chennai Express is no different. His latest brainwave has been to rope in Indian rapping sensation Honey Singh for a special tribute track to Southern superstar Rajnikanth. Many would remember that Rajnikanth was last seen gracing the silver screen alongside ‘King Khan’ in his memorable cameo in Khan’s Ra.One in 2011.
A source close to the Honey Singh shared, “He was surprised to get a call from Shah Rukh about a special song”. The rapper himself has exclaimed his excitement, “I was very surprised and happy to hear from Shah Rukh bhai. He said he wanted me to do a particular song. I wrote and composed the song while I was in Mauritius. Both Shah Rukh bhai and I are huge Rajinikant fans. This number is our tribute to him.”
Singh already believes that the song will impress both Khan and Rajnikanth fans alike, “I can tell you this much. When the song comes out it will be a craze among not just Shah Rukh and my fans, but also among Rajini sir’s fans.”
More details about the forthcoming special dedication song have yet to be released so watch this space for more!
