Learning to play the guitar has become quite fashionable in Bollywood these year. It all started with Saif Ali Khan who is a professional. He even showed off his guitar skills on world tours and award functions. After that Shah Rukh Khan took guitar lessons to keep up with his son, but finally gave up.
Now while Ranbir Kapoor will be strumming a guitar for Imtiaz Ali’s Rock Star, Shahid Kapoor is beginning to learn to play the instrument. He recently gifted himself guitar lessons for his 29th birthday on the 25th of february.
Shahid decided he wants to learn a new skill every year and 2010 has written guitar all over it. He dedicates all his free time to his guitar lessons before he gets busy with his father’s directorial debut Mausam.
Shahid caught the guitarbug from his brother Ishaan. “I always wanted to learn the guitar. I just started learning from my brother Ishaan, who started learning a month before me. I’m desperately trying to catch up,” he says.
Maybe one day we will get to see and hear his guitar skills live on stage.
