After the success of both Vivah and Jab We Met, Shahid Kappoor is definitely one of the hottest actors in Bollywood. He was brilliant as the romantic lead in both films and now many directors are knocking at his door with offers for love story based films. One of these offers came from the production house known for making wonderfully romantic movies, Yash Raj Films.
“Shahid loved the script and gave the nod to YRF. He is meeting many filmmakers after Jab We Met. He is signing films after much deliberation. He wants to choose the right scripts. Filmmakers are queuing up to sign him these days,” a source said.
The film will of course be a love story and according to industry sources, “The film will be made on a lavish scale. It is rumoured that Aditya Chopra might direct this one after his hiatus of seven years (after Mohabbatein which has followed his super-successful Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge). Whether Aditya finally decides to direct this film, he is sure that Shahid is perfect for the part. The actor’s youthful romantic image are what’s needed for this YRF film.”
A spokesperson from YRF said, “YRF is in talks with Shahid for a future film to be made under our banner. However, it may not be directed by Aditya Chopra. We will make an announcement at the appropriate time.”
