The mantra for top choreographer Shaimak Davar (of Dil Toh Pagal Hai and ‘Nach Baliye’ fame) is ‘have feet, will dance’. Those words have become a mission statement and mean so much to him that he is incorporating it into the name of his dance school. He even abides by it when choreographing numbers for stars in Bollywood.
Demonstrating how this mantra works, the ace choreographer uses the example of Abhishek Bachchan, who is not the world’s best dancer. However, according to Shaimak, Abhi excelled in his performances for ‘Nach Baliye’ and ‘Dhadak Dhadak’ in Bunty aur Babli. Shaimak is now confident that he expects no less from Abshiehk on the Unforgettable Tour. Extra rehearsal times are being allocated for the Bachchan junior so that he is as, if not more, confident than all the other performers on the tour (Aishwarya, Shilpa, Preity and Akshay).
Shaimak assures everyone that he instructs that if they have feet, he will make them look right and they will dance! Now here is a man who lives and breathes his mission statement.
