Following in the footsteps of many other Indian beauty queens, Miss India 2004, Sayali Bhagat, has finally grabbed some headlines with her role in Good Luck, which also stars Ranvir Shorey and Lucky Ali – though possibly not the headlines she’d hoped for as the movie is generally seen as a bit of a turkey.

Sayali’s debut was in last year’s The Train with Emraan Hashmi but she’s still patient and wise enough to see herself as a novice in the business. “With modelling, a year is enough to know it all, but with films, you need to be there for at least three years, to really get your share, and recognition for your films. So it is very early for me,” she said.

She has a number of interesting projects lined up including Black Gandhi and the comedy Paying Guest which also includes Celina Jaitley, Neha Dhupia and Riya Sen (sounds like a winner!). There’s a Telegu film Blade Babji and a Tamil movie Newton’s Moodram Vidhi.

Sayali’s been linked romantically with her co-star in Blade Babji, Allari Naresh, but this is not surprising as Allari makes it a habit to try and link romantically with his co-stars. He wants to be careful, however, for Sayali is a serial proposer, having proposed to cricketers Rahul David (unfortunately, he was already married) and Irfan Pathan on TV.
