Sporting a hot new look, Shilpa Shetty graces the cover of Grazia for this month wearing a short white mini-dress with red and brown filigree patterning. In this month’s issue, she opens up about her upcoming marriage to Raj Kundra, her career and of course her connection with the Rajasthan Royals IPL team.
Shilpa clearly believes in synergy between the different parts of her empire as news hits us of a new movie, which will include members of the Royals cricket team. “It’s a film with some of the RR players,” she confirms, “This was discussed before I became co-owner. The project is under review because of the shift in venue to South Africa. They would have shot some bits during the camp if the IPL had happened in India.” Bobby Bedi of Bandit Queen and The Rising: Ballad of Mangal Pandey fame will make the film.
The last half of the year will be very busy for Shilpa. Not only will she be planning next year’s marriage, but she will be also shifting her home to the UK and working on two film projects – The Desire, the Indo-Chinese romance with Xia Yu, winner of the Best Actor Award at the Venice Film Festival; and the proposed Indo-American movie Forever with Edward Furlong and Dennis Hopper.
