Rumors on the grape vine regarding actress Shilpa Shetty’s marriage may soon become a reality. According Shetty’s father Surendra Shetty the marriage will be taking place within the year. The information was revealed when papa Shetty sought release of his passport through an application citing his daughter’s marriage as the reason for travel before a court in Surat.
Surendra Shetty and wife Sunanda Shetty were among the accused in an extortion case following a monetary dispute between Pankaj Agarwal and Shilpa over a modelling contract in 2003. Having been arrested and released on bail, they were asked to submit their passports to the courts in Surat.
However, on Monday, the passports were released permitting them to travel abroad for an interim period from September 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009.
