Doubtlessly, Kartik Aaryan has a massive fan following, especially among kids and youngsters. He is also one of those rare outsiders who climbed the ladder to the top in the Hindi film industry without sugar daddies.
Like Sushant Singh Rajput, Kartik is an outsider from a small town who attained stardom on his own terms.
His success has not gone down well with a large section of the film industry. Big-name producers are being “advised” not to sign Kartik.
A leading filmmaker confides, “When I wanted to sign Kartik, I was told to take Ibrahim Ali Khan instead. When I insisted Kartik was right for the role, I was told he is difficult (to work with). But my experience was something else. Kartik is hard-working, non-interfering, and very dedicated.”
Shockingly, Kartik’s new film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri could not get a proper release in spite of being a Karan Johar production.
An insider reveals shocking details on how the engaging romcom was denied screens by the Dhurandhar producers. “Communications were made from the highest levels of Dharma Productions to the highest levels of Jio Studios. But they wouldn’t budge. What would a few shows here and there have mattered to them, as Dhurandhar is already a historic footfall-getter. But they refused to budge and were quite rude and uncooperative.”
Brutal trolling before the release of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri was also engineered to ensure a negative wave against the film. Much abuse was showered on the remix of the 1990s chartbuster ‘Saat samundar paar’ from the film Vishwatma as remixed in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri when in fact nobody had seen how the song was used in the new film.
A source close to Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is convinced the film was attempted to be sabotaged. “There was definitely an orchestrated move to spread negativity against the film. It is like an instant replay of what happened with Sushant Singh Rajput, though Kartik is way too popular to be pushed out by the nepo gang.”
