Shraddha Kapoor has said that the success of her third film Aashiqui 2 changed not just her life, but the lives of others also. Starring alongside Aditya Roy Kapur and directed by Mohit Suri; Aashiqui 2 released last year to an overwhelming response and became one of the biggest hits of 2013. The film and its soundtrack are popular even today and will no doubt achieve classic status. “After the success of Aashiqui 2, I believe that I need to conquer a lot more. I am constantly working towards it and I will work harder. Nobody expected Aashiqui 2 could do so well as it had two new faces.” “It changed so many lives that Friday; of mine, Mohit Suri’s and also that of Aditya Roy Kapur’s, besides singers and composers,” said the 25-year-old actress.
Shraddha also added how she was overwhelmed when fans were calling her Aarohi (her character’s name in Aashiqui 2) post the film’s release. “For me, to actually be remembered as Arohi was the biggest compliment. Whenever I go out people scream Arohi – that is the effect of Aashiqui 2.”
Shraddha’s next big release is Ek Villain, also directed by Mohit Suri and will be seen opposite Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh. The film will release on 27 June!
