One of the most eagerly awaited films of 2014 is Haider, starring Tabu, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, and Kay Kay Menon, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, produced under the banner of UTV motion pictures. The film, Bhardwaj’s adaptation of Hamlet is slated to hit theaters on the 2nd of October.
Haider tells the story of a young man who returns home to Kashmir on receiving news of his father’s disappearance. Not only does he learn that security forces have detained his father for harboring militants, but that his mother is in a relationship with his very own uncle. Intense drama follows between mother and son as both struggle to come to terms with news of his father’s death. Soon Haider learns that his uncle is responsible for the gruesome murder, what follows is his journey to avenge his father’s death.
Bhardwaj has also taken on creating the soundtrack of the film and with the first teaser of ‘Aao Na’ needless to say we wanted to hear more (view here).
They then gave us the cool behind the scenes look into Bismil and we were even more intrigued.
Finally we got the full song and we see Shahid as we have never seen him before. With lyrics but the great Gulzar, Sukhwinder Singh brings Bismil to life with his brilliant rendition.

Talking about the dance style, Shahid said, “It was very essential that Haider does not dance like Shahid. He had to have his own body language. His dance and acting had to be different from my usual style. So we had choreographer Sudesh who has done an opera with Vishal sir and he is from Norway.”
