Shruti Haasan has gained many fans already — myself being one, and amongst being a recognized singer, dancer and rock star, she is also taking the step into acting in Soham Shah’s Luck which releases July 24th. The actress held a trial screening for the aspiring actress and her family. It was attended by father Kamal Haasan, his girlfriend, Gowthami and her sister Akshara. However, mother Sarika was absent from the screening. In fact the mother and daughter are rumored to be on a not- talking basis after a fallout. Apparently Shruti is said to live with her mother when she is in Mumbai and is on the lookout for her own place.
The screening was also attended by Arshad Warsi, Bipasha Basu and Priyadarshan. Director Soham Shah was all praise for the actress and meeting her father, “We had a special trial on Friday in Chennai for Kamal Haasan. All Shruti’s close friends and family were present. They were all excited to see Shruti as an actress on the big screen. I got an opportunity to meet Kamal Haasan, and he gave his opinion as a father, an actor and as an audience. He really liked the dialogues,” she said.
Producer Priyadarshan was seen overexcited for the star-child and according to Soham was thrilled seeing Shruti onscreen, “Priyan Sir was cheering for Shruti. For me, it was a honor that he watched my film. He loved the action scenes and liked the pace of the movie as a filmmaker.” A source even claimed, “As these screenings were organised by the producer and the director, Shruti is yet to have her own trial. Maybe, one might catch a glimpse of her mother at her personal screening.”
