It seems that our unconventional Rang De Basanti actor and top south hero Siddharth is terribly upset with the reality shows on TV depicting urban violence and extreme offensiveness. He tweeted to express his desire to stop or change the telecast time of the shows Dadagiri (UTV Bindaas) and Roadies (MTV) as he feels they are hazardous to the children, family and elders of Indian families as well.
He added further, “If these two offensive shows are not banned immediately, ragging in Indian colleges will never end. If these self-proclaimed bhais think they can verbally and physically assault swayed mindless youngsters, and they are allowed to (do so) by the government and by the censor board, then it is a shame.”
The actor has got a point, considering a few months ago, a news story was heard concerning the then top show ‘Bigg Boss 4’, which was being hosted by Salman Khan. There were speculations about its change of timing and editing offensive clips on TV, neither of which actually happened.
Siddharth has even asked for a late night telecast of these shows instead of prime time and opinionated that parental guidance and a minimum age limit should be set and displayed before the show commences. Lets see how far things get resolved after this preachy step by the actor.
