After a promising debut in Heyy Babyy, former Miss India Sindhura Gadde is currently following the path of many Miss Indias before her and building her skills as an actress down south. After Sangamam, she is now working on an as yet untitled suspense thriller in the forests of Talakona. The film also features Jeeva.
The New Zealand educated actress who specialised in pharmacology and physiology also recently shot for Amaravathi in which Bhumika, Sneha and Chawla appear in cameo roles. “The director was looking for somebody who’s fit, has an international look and knows Telugu. That’s how the role came to me,” she explains.
Sindhura enjoyed her brief sojourn in Bollywood and expects one day to return. “Working in Bollywood was a learning experience,” she says, “When I did my first film I was very raw. I’m now looking forward to quality work. There’s a lot to learn. Right now I am not overanalysing the roles I get since I’m just beginning my career.”
Sindhura, who also doubles with an international modeling career, has found no difficulty moving between the two professions. “Being a model is always about looking your best and presenting products or clothing in a graceful manner so this, for an actress, is a definite bonus,” she confides, “The transformation is an exciting and challenging one for me.”
