We disagreed a bit on Bhootni Ke:
Bhangra de Baadshah, Daler Mehndi, kick starts the next track which showcases a complete Punjabi flavoured dance masti. Even if you do not understand the lyrics, the high range dhol beats are sure to make you break into your bhangra moves. The lyrics are amusing as it is picturized on a wedding where the grooms’ friends are lovingly poking fun at him.
I am afraid that on this one we do not agree Sara. For me, I really wish they had used a different singer for this song. Daler Mendhi sounds as if he were screaming the whole time and his voice is just not strong enough to pull it off. The musicians are very impressive with the incredible pace of the track and it almost defies listening by how fast they get in the end. I do agree that is has a great bhangra beat but his voice just is not up to it. However, on the Tiger Style Mix they used Mika at the microphone instead, and I think this one is SO much better. His voice is up to the strength of the beat and sounds great. If I was going to listen to any of them, this would be it. I do agree that the great beat that pulses and throbs makes this song one that will make you break into your bhangra moves.
