Continuing on its dream run of wins at major award ceremonies, Slumdog Millionaire was honored with two more top prizes. The Producers Guild of America named the Danny Boyle directed film Best Picture and at last night’s Screen Actor Guild Award the Cast won the highest honor of the evening Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

On stage to receive the award were stars Dev Patel, Freida Pinto, Irrfan Khan and Anil Kapoor. Anil accepted the award saying, “It was amazing to even be nominated but to win is unbelievable. Our gratitude to the great, the genius Danny Boyle, our large hearted producer Christian and the man with the midas touch Peter Rice. The entire crew and definitely how can I forget the children. This award is for the children, they deserve it. They deserve this award. They set our performances. It is the children who have done it not us so this is on behalf of the children. Thank you very much.”

Freida Pinto said in an interview with BollySpice.com, “I woke and said you have swept every other award but this one is not ours. So just make your peace with it. There is no way you can beat Milk and Doubt and films like that. Then all of a sudden Slumdog Millionaire was announced and Anthony Hopkins announced it! I just literally put my head down and was like NOT HAPPENING!! This is so unreal!”
