Starring Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor, one of the films we have on our list of must watch in 2016 is Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor. An Indian retelling of the classic novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, this film also features Tabu in the pivotal role of Begum (Miss Havisham in the book).
Director Abhishek Kapoor describes Fitoor as “a story of grand passion, beauty and love.”
Talking about the film earlier to PTI, Katrina Kaif said, “Fitoor is a script I fell in love with the moment I heard it. I was very excited and passionate about it. When I started working on the film, we initially went slow, then I started understanding things. I have learnt so much from the film. It has re-inspired me… ignited the passion in me as an actor. It is like a new journey for me as an actor. If I could go back and live everyday on the set, I would.”
About his new look and role in the film, star Aditya Roy Kapoor said, “What I love, as an actor, is the endeavour to adapt yourself to the character that you are playing. For this one, my director had a vision for me, and it meant I had to drop more weight to look a certain way. I guess if you change the way you look, then you change the way you feel too. The process was gruelling, but it taught me a lot about myself.”
We have your first look of the film and it seems we will get the first trailer on January 4th so watch this space!
