On May 25th, the audience is going to be treated to a pairing of two incredible actors as they play opposites sides of the law in Shootout at Lokhandwala. Both the actors have brought in a great deal of authenticity to their roles.
Sanjay Dutt who is one of Bollywood’s finest and most talented actors is playing ACP Aftab Ahmed Khan, the main protagonist of the film. His character is a relentless cop who led the police force against 5 criminals that were holed up in a Mumbai suburb.
The immensely gifted actor Vivek Oberoi will play the antagonist named Maya Dolas, one of the criminals that was holed up in the flat, and armed to their teeth when the police surrounded them.
Vivek Oberoi did extensive research into his role as Maya Dolas. He wanted to understand who this man was and how this dreaded criminal thought and acted so he met people close to Dolas and visited many places. He copied him in looks, dress and even went to the minutest details of putting a tattooed cross on his hands.
The movie is the story of the real life drama between the cops and the dreaded don that transformed a western suburb of Mumbai into a virtual war zone. The film will also include the live footage of the gun standoff.
