The Sinha’s trademark straightforward speak is apparent in the latest Sinha to hit the limelight, Sonakshi. The Dabanng actress is making waves no only with the offers she gets but with her frank comments as well. The latest is regarding her debut in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual directed by Selvaraghavan where she is set to play Kamal Haasan’s wife.
“Once you are in front of the camera, your age should not matter. I never felt like a child while working with Salman Khan (who is 45) in Dabangg and now with Akshay Kumar in Joker. I will be respectful but an equal on the sets with Mr. Kamal Haasan,” she says when speaking to Mid Day.
The actress is confident she will pull off the role but given that its every actor male or female to act with the legendary Kamal Haasan, the actress wants to make sure she looks just as convincing as her father Shatrughan who like her, does not know Tamil or Telugu but did not let it show in his performance in Rakta Charitra. “He read out the lines from cue cards. But no one could make it out. He’s teaching me how to read the words in Tamil and Telugu without looking like you’re reading it,” says the fiesty actress.
