Telugu star Sudheer Babu and Bollywood’s honeymooning actress Sonakshi Sinha (making her first major screen appearance since her wedding) recently shot the climax of their Hindi-Telugu bilingual Jatadhara where they play the Protagonist and Antagonist.
The climactic face-off , unlike anything we have seen on screen , involved 18 hours of shooting for more than a week with both the actors rehearsing from weeks before to make the fight look convincing.
Describing the arduous process of shooting the climactic fight, producer Prerna Arora says, “It is the toughest climax that both my leads(Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha) have shot in their individual careers. Both of them have been in action films before. But nothing comparable with this. The fight had to be between equals. No concessions for the antagonist being a female. Sudheer Babu plays Light and Sonakshi Sinha is Darkness. Their clash was choreographed without special effects. No special effects, all raw. Watching them fight on the set was an unforgettable experience.”
Sonakshi Sinha carried home several bruises, though fortunately, no major injury happened.
