Sonakshi Sinha has been a part of some of the industry’s biggest blockbusters featuring superstars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn. But for the first time, she has been featured opposite a younger actor, Ranveer Singh, in the forthcoming Lootera, whose trailer has created major waves.
Said a source, “Sonakshi has a brilliant role in the film and her stellar performance is bound to bag awards. She is at par with Ranveer in terms of screen time and performance and knows that this film can take her career to an even higher level.”
Excited by the prospects, Sonakshi has decided to double the time that she usually reserves for promoting her films. Instead of the usual 20 days, she has allotted Balaji 40 days for the pre-release marketing of Lootera.
Sonakshi says, “Lootera has been one of the most difficult and satisfying films that I have done. This is probably my best performance so far. I’ve fallen in love with what I’ve seen of the film so far.”
Adds the source, “She wants to give the film her best. It is one of the finest classical romances from the award-winning director of Udaan. Ranveer and Sonakshi will be promoting the film extensively.”
Lootera releases worldwide on July 5.
