Zee TV’s India’s Best Dramebaaz, a talent search Indian reality television show judging children between the age group of 5-12, is already a hit on the small screen, with a whopping TRP rate of 3.5, as the show hunts for kids performing a series of tasks to test their creativity, spontaneity and acting capabilities.
With director Anurag Basu, actor Vivek Oberoi and television’s favorite Sonali Bendre on the judging panel, the show was an instant hit thanks to the original and innovative concept along with judge Sonali Bendre’s endearing on-screen persona.
A source from the channel said, “Audiences are treated to an all-new side of Sonali. She is already a popular face on television but the show brings out the modern-day-mother in her and the way she easily connects and deals with kids and that’s catching people’s attention”.
Sonali Bendre, who is no stranger to judging reality shows, said, “It is very difficult to judge children and I don’t think we should judge them either. Instead, we are having so much fun. It is the naughtiness… there are so many little nuggets of information and amazing stories that come out. The kids talk so much, especially when they speak about their parents”.
Taking a strong stand on the impact reality television has on children Sonali further said , “As long as the parents are not putting the pressure, and the child is not feeling the pressure and enjoying the experience, the reality shows are a platform which gives [children] confidence”.
