Well Delhi 6 actress Sonam Kapoor does for one. Kapoor, L’Oreal’s new Indian brand ambassador, is of the view that Aishwariya Rai Bachchan can’t represent the youth anymore.
While attending a star-studded party thrown by L’Oreal in Mumbai on Sunday, Sonam spoke candidly on brand endorsement and replacing Mrs Bachchan Jr – who was the international face of a whole range of L’Oreal products. Rumour has it that Ash will now only be seen endorsing anti-wrinkle and anti-aging products with Sonam endorsing products targeting the young audience. When asked about L O’real’s new endorsement moves Sonam replied with honesty, “I think we belong to two different generations and that’s why L’Oreal has asked me to be a part of their brand.”
However, this Bollywood actress is still full of admiration for Rai, and further commented on the level of success attained by the ex Miss World and the honour she felt to be a part of the same brand family. “I am glad to be an ambassador for the brand that Aishwarya is also associated with. I will never reach that level of success at which Aishwarya is today, but being part of the same brand family feels great.”
Sonam further continued her praises, “She is an extremely beautiful woman and I have always looked up to her. Both of us have worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to work with her husband Abhishek in Delhi 6. She is an absolute success and I would be happy if my career gets even ten percent of what she has achieved.”
