Sonam Kapoor has said a big no-no to working with veteran actor and father Anil Kapoor. The reason? “Do you really think he looks like my Dad? He looks far younger than his age,” she quickly told a leading publication. “And that’s why I wouldn’t want him to play my father,” The justification came after speculation that the father-daughter duo would star in Anil Kapoor’s upcoming production Ayesha, which is supposed to be a remake of Jane Austen’s “Emma”.

In the past, Pakesh Omprakash Mehra was keen to sign the Kapoors in Delhi 6 but both father and daughter were quick to shrug off the idea. Sonam, more than Anil, claims that they “do not look like father and daughter.” In fact, Sonam was quick to state that since her father wasn’t going to age anytime soon, it was her who had to mature physically before they could act in a movie together.

When the publication pointed out that A.K. has starred with actors of all ages ranging from actresses her age and older, she immediately replied, “Yes, that’s right. My father looked very well-matched with all his co-stars…his career keeps getting re-invented. I’m afraid he has set impossible standards for me.”

While the Kapoor’s aren’t eager on sharing the same frame with one another, we do hope they decide to forego this idea and quickly sign a film together. In her kitty is her father’s home production, Ayesha. Anil Kapoor will next be seen on the popular Fox’s 24 television series.
