Underrated Sophie Chaudhary is thrilled by her role in Aa Dekhen Zara alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bipasha Basu. “ADZ is a thriller and is my first film in which I haven’t done any singing or dancing. I have many scenes with Neil in the film. I have also done many action sequences such as car chasing. I’m sure that my acting skills will be showcased and the film will surely change my career!” she exclaimed.

British-born Sophie is a bit of a genius, gaining four A’s in the higher level A-Level examinations in the UK before studying in Paris at Sciences-Po, one of their leading institutes where she specialised in the study of the role of women in the French Resistance, gaining a First. She claims to be particularly inspired by the tragic and heroic story of Noor Inayat Khan, a British agent who worked with the French Resistance during the last great war. News that Shyam Benegal is planning a movie on Noor Inayat Khan has perked Sophie’s interest.

Sophie, named after Italian actress Sophia Loren, recently spoke about her happiness at having been able to build her career in India. “The fact that even though I come form a business family in London with no showbiz contacts, this beautiful country welcomed me and allowed me to pursue my dreams of singing, VJ-ing and acting – that’s my biggest victory till date,” she says
