Bollywood’s favourite movie couple Shahrukh Khan and Kajol Devgan will grace the BBC Asian Network with their presence for ‘Shahrukh Day’ on 5 February. Joined by film director, Karan Johar, they will all speak to the network about their lives and their upcoming movie My Name is Khan.
Dedicating much of the day’s programming to the Bollywood greats, the station will celebrate them across a number of shows. On 5 February, there will be interview features with Gagan Grewal, Adil Ray and Bobby Friction. A special ‘Raj and Pablo in Conversation with Shahrukh Khan’ in front of a live audience (ticket details below), will be broadcast on Love Bollywood on Saturday 6 February, 9am.

Shahrukh Khan is one of Bollywood’s greatest film stars. Since appearing on our screens in the late eighties, he has starred in a string of successful films and has won a plethora of awards. A prominent figure in Bollywood, he is also known as a film producer and television host.
Kajol Devgan has also enjoyed huge success. Since returning to the Bollywood scene in 2006 after a career break, she has continued to win awards and is considered to be one of Bollywood’s most talented actresses. Over the years, the movie couple have acted together in a number of hit Bollywood films. ‘My Name is Khan’, is the first time in nine years that the movie couple have reunited on screen.
Karan Johar is one of Bollywood’s most successful filmmakers. Since his debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998, he has secured a number of awards for his work and now has his own talk show, Koffee with Karan.
