Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan and daughter Suhana recently made their parents proud when they won gold medals at a Tae-kwon-do Championship held in Mumbai.

On his Twitter account, he wrote, “Yippee. Both, the son and daughter, won gold medals at tae kwon do championships.”

“Suhana was all grit. Aryan all technique. I was a nervous wreck,” he added.

A few minutes later, he uploaded a photo of himself proudly holding the two medals, with the caption, “love gold especially when the kids earn it.”

Tae-kwon-do is a Korean martial art and the national sport of South Korea. Last year, Shah Rukh was conferred an honorary belt in Tae-kwon-do by the Korean government. The South Korean embassy also gave him the title of an honorary ambassador for culture and tourism. Both awards were in recognition for the actor’s exceptional achievements as a film actor and producer.

Shah Rukh recently returned to Mumbai after being on tour in the US to promote My Name is Khan. The film, which stars Kajol and has been directed by Karan Johar, is set for a worldwide release on February 12.
