Movie stars blazed the ramp at the hugely successful Chennai International Fashion Show. Neil Nitin Mukesh stole many a fluttering heart in a red tunic for the Sidney Sheldon collection, in which he paraded with Southern star Namitha, looking like a million dollars. “I was nervous as hell and took a deep breath to calm myself down, before I walked the ramp,” Namitha exclaimed, “It was such a pleasure walking with Neil, I thought he would be a snob, but I was pleasantly surprised.”
Koena Mitra shimmered in gold from designer Pria Kataria Puri and was cheered by Neetu Chandra in the audience. “It was such a pleasure being in Chennai for the Fashion Week,” Koena said, “The excitement backstage was crazy. It reminded me of my modelling days; the only difference this time around was that I was not nervous at all.”
Beaming smiles, Genelia D’Souza did a promende for Ishita Singh in red velvet and lace. “This is an extremely special and emotional moment for me because I started my film career in Chennai,” she explained, “I’m usually known as a tomboy, so this gorgeous feminine creation should shut everybody up now!”
