[socialBuzz]

Bobby Deol has been associated with a number of hit songs ever since he made his debut in Barsaat. The film had its fair share of his songs including ‘Love tujhe love main karta hoon’.

But it was Soldier which made Bobby a star. Anu Malik’s title song went a long way in creating the Bobby image of a Deol who invented his own dance steps as he went along. Rajiv Rai’s Gupt was Bobby’s next blockbuster. It contained a number of chartbusters composed by Viju Shah. Bobby’s hit song in Gupt was ‘Duniya haseenon ka mela’.

Baadal in the year 2000 was Bobby’s next hit. It had the whole nation up on its feet dancing to ‘Jugni jugn’.

Abbas-Mustan’s Aitraaz was not a success. But it gave Bobby a chance to groove with his best friend Akshay Kumar to the sound of Anu Malik’s ‘Kaun main haan tum’ and ‘Mehbooba’.

Barsaat (Bobby’s second film with that title) in 2005 where Bobby replaced Akshay Kumar at the eleventh hour had a number of hit songs by Nadeem Shravan. ‘Saajan saajan’ was a chart topper.

Post his family film ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’, Bobby stopped being associated with hit songs. But his earlier repertoire is to this day is a deejay’s delight. Whenever the dance floor gets drab, just put on Bobby’s songs.
