1. They first met while shooting together for Geetha Govindam. I remember Vijay telling me, “My co-star is a girl called Rashmika Mandanna. Watch out for her. She is going to be a major star.”
2. There was no relationship between them for a long time as Vijay was committed in a long-distance relationship with a Belgian girl for several years.
3. Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have been offered a staggering amount , close to Rs 75 crores, for the filming rights of their wedding for an OTT platform. The couple declined the offer.
4. It was Vijay who was more keen for the marriage. Rashmika was willing to wait a while. But Vijay’s parents were keen that he marry. And they loved Rashmika from the word go.
5. The wedding is a very private affair. No invitees from the Telugu or Hindi film industry. Only close family and friends.
6. Contrary to what is being reported, there is no no-phone policy at the wedding venue. “This is a wedding not the NAM summit,” someone close to the couple joked.The guests’ discretion is being trusted in this matter.
7. The couple is taking just a brief break from work after the wedding. A longer honeymoon is to be planned later.
