Suraj Barjatya’s next venture has been in the limelight for quite some time now. The biggest reason being his re-union with the “original Prem” of his movies, Salman Khan after 14 long years. Barjatya launched Salman as a leading hero in the blockbuster Maine Pyaar Kiya in 1989 making the latter an overnight star. The duo last worked together on Hum Saath Saath Hai in 1999.
Another reason which has kept the movie in news has been regarding it’s leading lady. Many names have cropped up in the process like Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Parineeti Chopra. Recently, it was reported that the two-film old, Illeana D’cruz has been roped in to play the lead opposite Salman. When asked, Illeana told a leading news daily, “Yes, I’ll be starring opposite Salman Khan in Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming film. He will be directing a film after almost 8 years and I’m glad he chose me to be a part of it.”
Now the latest buzz suggests that Kareena Kapoor Khan might also be roped in to romance Salman in the movie. Although there is no confirmation on the same, the speculation is rife that Bebo is being considered for the same. Kapoor last worked with Barjatya in the box-office disaster Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon in 2003.
The untitled project is a family drama, slated for a Diwali 2015 release and is expected to go on floors in 2014.
