They starred together in the wonderful Kai Po Che and now Sushant Singh Rajput and Rajkummar Rao come back together in Rabbta. What is so interesting is that they are together in a very unique way because Sushant Singh Rajput is fully in the past and he comes across the 324 year old Rajkummar.
After the casting process was over director director Dinesh Vijan happened to casually mention it to Sushant that Rajkummar will be doing a cameo in the film. As soon as Sushant learnt this he immediately called Rajkumar. They spoke at length and were happy how they will once again get the chance to be on a filmset together.
Says Sushant, “When Dinesh mentioned that Rajkummar will be doing a cameo in the film I was ecstatic! I have worked with him in my first film and there are so many learnings and memories I carry of the film. I immediately reached out to him.”
He further adds, “We did not get to hangout as much on sets. It was a hectic schedule. We both had to do hours of makeup and I had some high action sequences which was very demanding. But, it just felt good to work with him again.”
Raabta starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon and Jim Sarbh marks the debut of Dinesh Vijan as a director. Produced by Dinesh Vijan , Bhushan Kumar and Homi Adajania the film is set to release on 9th June.
