This is totally fake news put forth by Nana Patekar’s overactive PR machinery. In fact, the court has rejected and cancelled the B summary report filed by Mumbai police in 2019. The B summary report was an attempt to close the case even before the chargesheet could be filed. We had protested the B summary in court, and we won that argument. The court did not admit the B summary. The news is totally false, misleading, and in contempt of the current court judgment. This matter hearing was not about the original sexual harassment case, but it was a hearing only on the B Summary report filed by Mumbai police in 2019. So you can say that it was a small victory for me and my team that we were able to squash the B Summary report and keep the case open.
So where did this report about the quashing of your case come from?
Nana Patekar and his team are playing a really nasty PR game by falsifying facts of the matter. You can confirm this from the court itself. The police will now have to file a chargesheet on Nana after this verdict. Nana lost this particular hearing, and he knows it’s a big blow to him because his team prematurely announced that the case was closed in 2019, but this verdict keeps it open. Barely two hours after the court verdict of dismissing/not acceptance of B summary this fake news started circulating on the net. It’s a joke! The trial was not about the 2008 sexual harassment case at all. It was about the B summary report. So everything that the verdict says is in that context. We are all shocked with this fake PR campaign by Nana’s PR team to distort facts completely and takes the court verdict completely out of context and falsify facts. The sexual harassment case can only be submitted to court after filing a chargesheet by police. Chargesheet could not be filed due to the B summary report. Now the court has rejected the B summary report, so hopefully, the main case will move forward. The person who has put this news has just used some legal mumbo jumbo language to mislead media and public.

This is the weirdest thing I have encountered on this matter. We actually won the case, judgement was in our favour. 2008 sexual harassment case is still open and Nana may still face jail time once police makes chargesheet and submits in court for trial. Or the police can challenge this verdict in a higher court, which is very unlikely.
