Loot Kaand, which is now streaming for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player, takes audiences on a rollercoaster ride in a series that is a high-stakes heist thriller that blends suspense, action, and situational comedy. Directed by Ruchir Arun, and brought to life by the creators of Drishyam, the six-episode series unravels the story of Latika and Palash – siblings bound by love, driven by desperation, and caught in a whirlwind of crime, betrayal, and survival. Tanya Maniktala breathes life into the character of Latika, a fiercely determined football coach who finds herself making impossible choices to protect her family. Alongside her, the series boasts a stellar cast, featuring Sahil Mehta, Gyandendra Tripathi, Saad Bilgrami, Ronjini Chakraborty, Nitin Goel, and Amit Sarkar in pivotal roles.

Reflecting on the dynamic between Latika and Palash in the series, Tanya shared, “There’s a universal truth about siblings — no matter where they are in the world, agreeing with each other seems almost impossible. Even when we know the other person is right, admitting it is just not an option. But, despite the constant clashes, there’s also an unspoken bond. Siblings are each other’s biggest critics but also their strongest supporters. That dynamic is something Latika and Palash embody beautifully. While reading the script, Sahil and I found ourselves relating to their interactions because both of us have siblings. That sense of familiarity and authenticity made their love-hate relationship feel raw and real.”

Speaking about the challenges of playing Latika, Tanya added, “Physically, there were quite a few demanding scenes. But one of the most mentally exhausting moments was when Latika has a confrontation that forces her to question everything her choices, her intentions and even her own conscience. It was emotionally intense because so much of what she was going through couldn’t be expressed in obvious ways. Just being in that headspace was deeply challenging, but also incredibly rewarding as an actor.”

Loot Kaand is now streaming for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player, available through its apps on mobile, Amazon’s shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Connected TVs.
