Farah Khan took on “Fighter Stars” Shahid Kapoor and Genelia D’Souza this week as they talk about their second chances in the industry. The ultra cute Shahid admitted to his string of flops post Ishq Vishk which incidentally he had to work for. He then spoke about his first day on the sets of Vivaah where he was not only scared but uncomfortable, but after his first shot knew he was back in business. Unknown to most, Shahid also let audiences know that he sat at home for over six months after Vivaah waiting for the right script which came in the form of Jab We Met and although he knew that Geet’s character, played by Kareena Kapoor would win more cheers, he was more determined to prove himself to directors in the industry. And on the note of Kareena Kapoor, he claimed he knew from the beginning that her lineage would always be a problem but she was his “support system”.
Co-star Genelia D’Souza too spoke about her comeback into the industry after she was written off after Tujhe Meri Kasam and Masti. But Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na proved to be just what she needed. Dually the duo agreed that this second chance has changed them for the better and are not bitter about their late successes. The duo agreed if they were related to anyone in the industry, life would have been a lot easier but they have learnt to appreciate their new found success.
Shahid and Genelia also met the very strong army officer who too was given a second chance at life which bought Genelia to tears. On a lighter side, Shahid and Genelia had many fun moments including dancing, singing and some innovative dialogue delivery. The chemistry between both was incredibly evident making Dance Pe Chance one to watch out for along with this episode of Tere Mere Beach Mein!
