The makers of Jai Gangaajal have released the songs ‘Tetua’ and ‘Maya Thagni’ from the Priyanka Chopra starrer action drama.
‘Tetua’ is a hard-hitting number, and the video features the strong willed Abha Mathur played by Priyanka as she takes on crime in the village district. The song has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh, lyrics by Manoj Muntashir, and has been composed by Salim-Sulaiman.
‘Maya Thagni’ has been sung by Pravesh Mallick and composed by the duo Salim-Sulaiman. The video features a montage of smaller moments from the movie that set the underlying tone of crime and corruption and Abha Mathur’s fight against it.
Interacting with the media for the song launch director Prakash Jha explains, “Maya Thagni is the opening song of the movie, and it sets the mood for the film. The song speaks of the drama and farce of the society.”
According to music directors Salim-Sulaiman, “Maya Thagni is a soulful number with a modern mix of EDM beats.”
Written and directed by Prakash Jha, produced by Prakash Jha Productions and Play Entertainment and co-produced by Milind Dabke, Jai Gangaajal revisits the dusty heartland of Central India and examines the society–police relationship. Starring Priyanka Chopra, the movie is all set to release on 4th March, 2016.
