Om Shanti Om is having a dream run at the box office and looks to break all box-office records for a Bollywood film. The two stars, Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan, have formed a mutual admiration society and each of them credits the other for the success of the film.
Deepika said that “a lot” of the credit for the how well the audience has received the film goes to King Khan and that, “When you start working in a movie, you never think that it’s going to be a superhit. You just enjoy working.”
Shah Rukh Khan is ecstatic with the the box office bonanza Om Shanti Om is generating and he gives the credit to Deepika. “The star of the film is Deepika. She has done a great job in the film. We all tried to outdo her by our performance but she has managed to beat us all,” he said.
He added, “Her acting in the film is excellent and she has the potential to become a great actress in the future.”
It certainly was a dream debut film for Deepika and we cannot wait to see her in her next film. It looks like we might have a lot of enjoyment in store at the movie theaters because Deepika said, “since I am new, I just want to do as many movies as I can.”
