Bubbly actress and style trendsetter Anushka Sharma has been announced as the new brand ambassador for hair care line Pantene. The actress noted, “I love experimenting with my hair! Whether it’s my current wob, or a fringe cut, or colouring my hair…”
In celebration of this announcement, here are a few fun and fresh hairstyles Anushka has donned since her big screen debut in 2008:
In Anushka’s inaugural flick Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Shah Rukh Khan, we see her rock a sporty look, complete with slick straight hair and a casual headband (she needed to keep her locks out of her way to teach some killer dance moves, after all). She kept it simple, yet gorgeous.
The actress amped it up with some volume in 2010’s Band Baaja Baraat, which suited her spunky character. The strategic layers in her hair and the sun-kissed color added to her modern and energetic persona in the movie.
Beachy waves are an incredible look for Anushka! She donned this sexy look in Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl and gave us all some serious hair envy. The lighter color also complements her skin tone perfectly. Can we say fierce?
Anushka made a splash in spring 2013 when she debuted a whole new look on the cover of Elle magazine…bangs! This was a much more sultry look than fans were accustomed to but she pulled it off flawlessly. The low bangs paired with the dark hair gave an air of mystery to the usually chipper actress.
Anushka’s look in PK is probably her most polarizing to date. While this is just a wig (phew!), Anushka still manages to look charming and adorable. We have to say that we prefer her long, luscious locks. But this just shows how versatile she can be!
This 1960s-inspired look from her period film Bombay Velvet is another great example of how amazing Anushka can look with a variety of hairstyles. This is one of the first times we’ve seen her sport a short hairdo in a film and we simply love it on her.
