The rumours that have been making the rounds for more than a year have finally taken the form of some news. It is indeed confirmed now that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been finalized as the lead heroine for Madhur Bhandarkar’s highly debated project Heroine that was to portray the life of Marilyn Monroe.
Previously the director had approached Kareena Kapoor for the role, but her conscious and vacillating reactions regarding the long intimate scenes in the movie confounded the director, and he went along with his other project, Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji, which eventually proved successful. Now that he is back to square one with no other projects in hand, the somewhat shelved Heroine was brought back to existence.
Throughout the last few weeks, the buzz was that Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya were both being considered for the role and the media gave it plenty of coverage by saying that it was the war between both of Salman Khan’s exes.
A few other stories said that Madhur had been working hard to make the role suit Aishwarya, because earlier it was written with somebody else in mind, although Madhur, Siddharth Roy Kapoor (producer) and Aishwarya Rai remained unavailable for comments.
