Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced that Koffee With Karan is coming to an end after a historic 22-year run. The show will return for its ninth and final season, streaming from October 14, 2026, exclusively on JioHotstar.

The final lineup is expected to include major reunions, such as the Dil Chahta Hai cast (Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshaye Khanna) marking 25 years of the film, a Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham reunion featuring Kajol and Kareena Kapoor, and the highly anticipated debut of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna together.

Since its debut on November 19, 2004, the celebrity talk show has run for 8 seasons and 161 episodes. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and hosted by Karan Johar, it became a massive pop-culture phenomenon in India, known for its iconic Rapid Fire round, the coveted Koffee Hamper, and gossip that frequently sparked national headlines.

Speaking about the final season, Karan Johar says, “There are some journeys you don’t plan to end, you simply know, somewhere deep within you, when it is time to let them go. Koffee With Karan has been an extraordinary part of my life. It has given me friendships, memories, moments of complete madness, a lot of love and, yes, its fair share of controversy! But through all of it, what has remained constant is the audience. They have laughed with us, debated us, trolled us, celebrated us and, most importantly, kept coming back for another cup.”

Karan gets emotional about ending his romance with rumination . “Saying goodbye is emotional, but it also feels right. This final season is my way of raising the mug one last time with gratitude, with love and with everyone who has made Koffee With Karan what it is. So, come have one last cup of Koffee with me. One last time.”
