The king has reclaimed his throne. After a couple of years in which he was not the top dog, SRK is once again on top of the mountain. In terms of making headlines, he made big news for the little joke he pulled on Manoj Kumar in the film Om Shanti Om, as well as his ongoing “cold war” with the Big B and the legal notice he received for smoking in public. But none of that affected him as his films gather bigger headlines than anything else, especially the heated Diwali competition he had with Saawariya. Professionally, this may have been SRK’S most successful year ever. The two movies he featured in, OSO and Chak De India were the two biggest hits of the year. Not only that, but OSO is about to become the biggest hit of all time. As for performances, OSO was SRK playing to the masses, but it was CDI that caught everyone’s eye. SRK delivered one of the best performances of his career and the whole nation started chanting Chak De! 2007 is a year SRK will never forget. 2008 has SRK in cameos in Bhootnath and Dulha Mil Gaya. It seems it will be a quite year for SRK, as no full fledged films are scheduled for him. But for 2007, he is on top of the mountain!
