Here is the man who was quite the international star this year. Although he may not have caught many headlines, he was the only actor who made it to the big league of Hollywood this year. Along with a successful Metro, for which he won great accolades, and a small role in Aaja Nachle, Irrfan also starred in The Namesake and A Mighty Heart, along with a small role in The Darjeeling Limited. All three of those films were Hollywood productions. Irrfan made a huge impact in both The Namesake and A Mighty Heart, and is now a known commodity in Hollywood. A man who is quite the underrated actor, he just keeps on doing his work and keeps on delivering fine performances. He has recently bagged Mira Nair’s Shantaram, in which he will star alongside Johnny Depp and Amitabh Bachchan. As for 2008, he has Sunday and Krazzy 4 to look forward to.
