No one smelled success this year quite like Akki. He had four films this year and all four films were huge hits- a 100% record. We haven’t seen a success rate like that since the glory days of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. Oh yes, Akshay is definitely in elite status now. Namastey London, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Welcome all proved to be big money spinners, but they also brought much praise for Akshay for his performances. He has become the most dependable actor in the industry as anything he stars in now becomes a hit. It was a peachy and rosy year for Akki, as there were no headline controversies to speak of. Akshay hopes to build on a superb 2007 with an equally impressive 2008 when he will feature in Tashan, Singh is Kinng, Eight by Ten, and Chandni Chowk to China.
