4. Kajol (U, Me Aur Hum)
Regardless of U, Me Aur Hum’s average box office performance, one simply cannot disregard Kajol’s outstanding work as a woman suffering from Alzheimer’s. Of course, we don’t expect any less from the actress who has been instrumental in raising the bar for other actresses over the years. In this flick, Kajol was able to take on a complex character and handle it beautifully. A character like this could easily have become a caricature, but Kajol used her great talent and undeniable screen presence to work magic. This is probably one of her most nuanced performance to date, with several little aspects of her performance adding up to create something magnificent.
