Rohit Shetty’s 2010 Diwali release is the third instalment in the Golmaal series. And what an instalment it was. Released worldwide in 5th November to coincide with the Diwali celebrations worldwide, the films net collections were 8.32 crores on the first day, with opening week collections standing at 72.25 crores.
The critics it seems were not necessarily as impressed as the audience. Raja Sen gave the film 1.5/5 saying all he was looking for in Golmaal 3 was a few good jokes, however the film did not oblige. A differing opinion came from The Times of India reviewer who said there was a ‘laugh riot waiting at multiplexes’.
Golmaal 3 is the decades 4th highest grossing film.
